We are seeking an experienced Staff Systems Administrator with expert knowledge of ground infrastructure requirements and VAX compute environments to join our talented, diverse team in Redondo Beach, CA.
As a Systems Administrator, your primary duties will include technical leadership and mentoring of other Systems Admins, lab management, and VAX OS maintenance; working with isolated computer networks; understanding of cyber controls, cyber mitigations, RMF artifacts, and cyber testing techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
12 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD
Active Secret Clearance at the time of application
Ability to present findings and progress reports in a presentation format with leaders at various levels both in person and remote
Understanding of Cyber products for systems to include logging, vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection mechanisms, patching systems, anti-virus and related processes
Understanding of VAX
Understanding Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and configuration standards for DOD IA and IA-enabled devices/systems
Experience in cyber controls as they relate to ground stations
General understanding of network operations; assign IP address, hostname, DNS, NTP, etc.
Upkeep of system configurations with proper configuration management
Ability to obtain Security + certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with COMSEC devices and processes
Experience supporting real-time operations, and the ground hardware and software involved with mission operations.
Current DoD 8570 Security + CE certification (IAT Level II compliant)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
Vendor certifications from any of VMware, RedHat, Microsoft, or Cisco
Salary Range:
$149,900 - $224,900
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
