Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Manufacturing & Engineering, you will drive the vision, strategies, and performance metrics to support our ambitious growth objectives. As a leader, you will mentor and coach a global team, ensuring collaboration across functions to implement key manufacturing strategies that enhance operational excellence.In this role, you will shape a high-performance manufacturing organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. You will ensure that resources are effectively deployed to meet operational commitments and that results are consistently delivered.Location:
Duncan, SC or Brooklyn Park, MNKey Responsibilities:Lead manufacturing operations across four sites: Duncan, SC; Brooklyn Park, MN; Padova, Italy; and Terneuzen, Netherlands.Develop and implement a LEAN Management System (LMS) to identify and execute operational improvement projects.Mentor and develop site leaders, focusing on key deliverables, career growth, and development needs.Establish a clear vision for the global manufacturing organization, aligning it with company strategies and translating it into actionable goals and metrics at the site level.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of manufacturing goals and broader business objectives.Cultivate a customer-centric mindset at each site, prioritizing quality and timely delivery of parts and equipment.Guide site leadership teams in resolving production and quality challenges, ensuring proper follow-up to prevent recurrence.Partner with site leadership and Finance to deliver accurate forecasting and meet monthly shipment and cost targets.Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to ensure seamless transitions of new products into manufacturing, tracking performance and refining processes.Promote safety, wellness, and a positive work environment through leadership and example.Encourage cross-site sharing of capacity, knowledge, and best practices, leveraging insights from across BW.Foster a caring, growth-oriented culture, celebrating successes while addressing performance gaps with accountability and support.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or related field.10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including expertise in assembly processes.5+ years of experience leading and developing leadership teams (e.g., plant managers).5+ years of experience managing remote, multi-country operations.At Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
