Job Title: Medical Malpractice Litigation AttorneyJob Overview:A prominent law firm in Denver, CO is seeking a Medical Malpractice Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 2+ years of experience. The role involves handling medical malpractice litigation, working with insurance claims representatives, and managing complex legal files from initiation to resolution. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.Duties:Manage medical malpractice litigation cases from inception to conclusion.Engage in all aspects of pre-trial discovery and preparation.Conduct legal research and draft case documents, including motions and briefs.Take and defend fact and expert depositions.Engage and prepare experts, and manage expert disclosures and reporting.Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials, with first-chair trial experience preferred.Collaborate directly with insurance representatives on case strategy and evaluations.Oversee document production and large database management for cases.Supervise and delegate tasks to paralegals.Participate in business development efforts, such as marketing and drafting legal publications or presentations.Requirements:Active license to practice law in Colorado.Minimum of 2+ years of medical malpractice litigation experience.Strong case management, communication, and analytical abilities.Exceptional research and writing capabilities.Willingness to travel when necessary for case needs.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.Experience working directly with insurance claims representatives.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active and good-standing member of the Colorado Bar.Certifications:Licensed attorney in the State of Colorado.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and case management proficiency.Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.Capable of working collaboratively with clients and legal team members.Skilled in managing document production and maintaining databases for litigation.Job Location:Comprehensive benefits package, including several firm-paid options.Flexible Time Off policy.Professional yet business casual work environment.Hybrid working schedule, with both in-office and remote workdays.Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development through onsite training.Access to current technology and support from in-house IT professionals.Inclusive, respectful, and collegial workplace culture.
