You will need to be onsite at least 3 days a week! Targeting a 2025 start, looking to interview in December.
The Product Owner/Project Manager is a crucial role on an application development team helping to transform a high-level vision into detailed functional requirements, create product user stories, and accept the completed deliver within a given iteration. That person is the primary contact responsible for ensuring the development team works on the tasks intended to address specific product scope and capabilities.
Our client is looking to bring on POs to help drive their advisor client portal forward as they grow their client base by 20-30% in the coming years. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a fundamental understanding of the breakdown of features into stories and help to ensure the strategic roadmap is well defined and cascades into daily work. Strong writing skills are a must, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in both the business and technical environments. Candidates need to be able to drive meetings, track and hold team members accountable, good at documentation in addition to stories, strong communicators are welcome.
Responsibilities
Contribute as a core member of the product squad or scrum team to convey functional requirements, create/groom user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and engage in testing efforts.Partner with stakeholders, clients, and product managers to understand the requirements, capabilities, and user experience.Ensure engagement and ongoing involvement from the cross functional team (Sales, TechOps, Customer Success, Marketing, etc.) to provide a continuous feedback loop into the product development process.Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and product managers to align product roadmaps against known dependencies.Define, prioritize, and own the product backlog to reflect the solution scope, vision, and roadmap.Conduct the final user acceptance testing and sign-off of a given user story upon completion of development of requirements.Participate in daily development team standups and iteration sprint planning sessions to represent the product requirements and respond to any questions regarding the feature set.Participate in weekly scrum meetings.Organize and facilitate presentations to business stakeholders for product demos.Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of product backlog tools such as Rally and JiraWorking knowledge of collaboration suites including Confluence and SharePointAbility to translate high-level business objectives into detailed functional requirementsFamiliarity with UX knowledge and principles is beneficialQualifications:
Education - associate's degree (bachelor's degree preferred)2 to 4 years of working experience in like fieldStrong communication skillsDetailed orientedExperience in agile and scrum development organizationsCertification - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) preferred
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
