The Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Artificial Intelligence (AI) team is looking for summer 2024 interns. The ideal candidate is passionate about a broad range of projects from research & development to prototype development, culminating in deployment of our products to customers. We are on the cutting edge, inserting AI into defense systems, delivered through our AI Factory in partnership with our lines of business. The successful candidate will have beginner experience in areas like: software engineering, DevOps, artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML). Key responsibilities include: creative ML work, software development & containerization, display & database integration, high performance compute environments, partnering with the peer engineering organizations and chief engineer offices, customer focused work & deployment to the edge, while working with a close knit team. This role is based on Manassas, VA, Colorado Springs, CO Moorestown, PA, or Syracuse, NY with telecommuting flexibility depending on program needs. - Demonstrated potential to work in a team environment.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Desired Skills:The following are appreciated, but not required:- Prior Coursework in computer science, data science and/or machine learning- Beginner experience with Python, Cuda, DevSecOps- Strong verbal and written communication skills.Security Clearance Statement:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position:
