Analytic Methodologist - Multiple Positions - Junior/Middle/Senior positionsWork Environment:Location is flexible: NGA offices in Springfield, VATravel up to 15% of the timeResponsibilitiesThe role of an analytic methodologist at NGA is often a combination of an analytic methodologist and data scientist positions, and a lot of their duties overlap. NGA positions use data scientists to define, execute, and analyze the results of complex studies of collection system performance. They respond to requests for studies from customers across the NSG, gathering requirements and educating customers on outcomes and results. They aid in the design, production, and implementation of a federated approach to provide end-to-end Source performance metrics that ensures continuity, consistency, agreement, transparency, and awareness both internally (team-wide) and externally (with customers).QualificationsRequirements (Required):Bachelor's degree in Geography, Remote Sensing, Earth or Physical Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or US Military related discipline; additional experience can be used as a substitute for education.A minimum of five years of applied data analytics and/or data management experience.Proficiency in common geospatial software applications and tools, such as Python, SQL, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Collections, Data Visualization, ESRI ArcGIS, Timeseries Modeling, Large Language Modeling, Sagemaker, IDL, MATLAB, R, Git, Tableau, Collections, Databricks, Hue, Knowi, Kabana.Ability to perform detailed end-to-end source management performance analysis to support multi-source requirements.The ability to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to produce and enhance products, processes, and systems.Creativeness to investigate and introduce novel analytical techniques, data mining and retrieval, and statistical and mathematical analyses to identify trends, solve analytical problems, optimize performance, and visualize results.Experience with geospatial data types, data visualization, including matrix analytics, network analytics, or graphing data.Knowledge of Activity-based Intelligence (ABI), Structured Observation Management (SOM), automation, scripting, data analysis, and a GEOINT methodology to help integrate statistically sound data analytics into GEOINT-based decision making.Ability to work independently, with little supervision in a high-tempo environment.Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, both orally and in writing.Requirements (Desired):Proficiency in common geospatial software applications and tools, such as Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, MongoDB, Jira, CLI, Graph DB, Ruby, NodeJS, C, C++, PostGIS.Familiarity with JEMA and/or Brewlytics.Knowledge of standard and non-standard NGA reports including, but not limited to NES remarks, NIBs, and GEOINT Notes.Application of SOM solutions including GOWK, GERT, and STARE.Proficiency using GEOINT services including GovCloud, Amazon Web Services, C2S.Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) introducing documented analytic methodologies.Knowledge of intelligence operations and GEOINT phenomenology.Experience using GIS software packages to collect, manipulate, identify, or analyze vector or raster data sets.Current GEOINT Professional Certification-Foundations (GPC-F).Security Clearance Requirements:Please be aware that some of our positions may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
