Position Summary:Sam’s Tech is looking for an experienced
Senior Engineering Manager
to lead our
Member Personalization Team . As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be
responsible
for managing a team of engineers and driving the development of innovative solutions that enhance our members' experience through personalization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our members' needs and align with our company's goals.About Team:Sam's Club is our membership warehouse club, a business model that provides our members with high-quality products at prices that are unrivaled by traditional retail. Sam's Club provides a carefully curated assortment of items, as well as developing and leading technologies and services such as Scan & Go, Club Pickup, and home delivery service in select markets. Sam's Club also provides travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid centers, tire and battery centers, and a portfolio of business operations support services.What you'll do:Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance our members' personalized experiences.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring that solutions are delivered on time and within budget.Drive the development of innovative solutions that improve our customers' identity experience, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the engineering team.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring that all solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices.Monitor and report on team performance, making recommendations for improvements as needed.What you'll bring:A minimum of 8 years of experience in technology, retail a plus.Proven experience in leading a team of engineers and delivering high-quality software solutions.Ability to mentor and guide engineering team in coding standards, deployment strategies, architecture, and qualification.Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people. Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
