Position Overview:
YSI is seeking a highly qualified Technical Architect. The selected candidate will be able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be innovative in a fast-paced environment.
Functional Responsibilities:
The Technical Architect provides overall technical guidelines and processes used with development and support teams.
The Technical Architect will work with the Government and technical team to ensure PBES continues to meet the operational requirements of the business Air Force budgeting cycle.
Ensure all technical and operational artifacts associated with Cybersecurity, technical architecture (Views), system baseline, software versions, and system hardware are updated and maintained as needed.
Identify unique requirements and develop the roadmap for meeting Government functional and technical priorities, including Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, USAF Cloud One AWS NIPR and SIPR migration and operations, product upgrades, process automation, and expanding automated testing to meet stakeholders' needs.
Assist with the design and deployment of the system architecture, verifying compatibility with the existing environment and standards, including security requirements, systems migration best practices, and addressing scale and compatibility needs of the system.
Provide guidance on the best technologies for the project based on expertise in various technologies and system architecture components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree:
In one of the following fields of study: Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline.
10 years of professional information technology experience.
Experience in providing DevSecOps implementation using technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, SonarQube, and Checkmarx.
Experience with container management utilizing technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience working with Cloud Service Providers such as AWS and Azure; USAF Cloud One experience is a plus.
Experience with IaC automation utilizing languages and frameworks such as Ansible or Terraform.
Experience securing applications via CI/CD pipelines leveraging static code analysis, unit and integration testing, dependency analysis, etc.
Experience working in Agile team environments.
Working knowledge of automated software build processes.
Experienced in developing, testing, and maintaining web-based applications.
Working knowledge of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle DB Server.
DoD 8140/8570 certification required (CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, or CISSP).
Secret Clearance Required
