Human Resources ManagerAs a Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for aligning human resources strategies with the business goals of the facility and the Heritage organization. This role will be a key partner to both the Corporate Human Resources team and the facility Plant Manager.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all timesCollaborates with site and senior leadership to develop human resources strategies that support broader business objectives; serves as a thought partner to Plant Manager on key personnel issues or changesPartners with human resources team to develop and implement human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning employmentAddresses, mediates and resolves employee issues to promote a positive and productive work environmentMonitors employee records and assists in all employee corrective action procedures as neededConducts and documents employee exit interviews; identifies trends and implements initiatives for retention improvementPartners with Corporate Talent Acquisition team to facilitate the interview process and assists with local recruitment efforts, including maintaining vendor partnerships as neededOversees the New Hire Orientation experience; works with local team to identify opportunities to enhance the New Hire processMonitors facility timekeeping to ensure it is completed and approved in a timely manner; coordinates with Corporate Payroll team to ensure alignment and accuracy for payments and deductionsAssists in response development for employee relations issues or unemployment claimsProvides input on business unit structures, workforce preparation and succession planningProvides coaching to managers during the performance appraisal process and assists in the development and completion of performance improvement plans as neededAssists in identifying training needs and participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programsCoordinates special projects and facility events to promote employee and community engagementSupports organizational changes and assists managers and employees to ensure a smooth transitionCompletes supervisory responsibilities for team member(s) including timekeeping, performance appraisals, coaching, and daily task managementMaintains the ability to conduct work outside of traditional hours when neededTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizationEducation:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (required)Certifications: PHR or SPHR (preferred)Experience:
5+ years of experience as a human resources manager or a similar role (required)Competencies:
Strong working knowledge of HR principles, practices and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations regarding employmentUnwavering ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality when navigating information related to facility personnel or organizational initiativesStrong cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgroundsProficiency in HR software and tools for managing employees and HR processesAbility to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstancesExcellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customersAbility to gain alignment with different functional groups and represent a common point of view across various stakeholdersAbility to champion change and lead through influence for targeted or broad organizational transitionsRegular and predictable attendance to perform the essential functions and requirements of this role
