We’re searching for a

Vehicle Application Specialist

to manage and coordinate engineering projects for production contracts and sales opportunities. In this key role, you’ll be the primary technical correspondent, ensuring accurate and effective communication with customers and our internal engineering team, with a focus on innovation, teamwork, and integrity.WHY JOIN US:Be a part of a team leading the world’s electrification of mass mobility.Competitive wages and comprehensive benefit package with immediate benefit eligibility.Paid holidays and vacation.401K with generous company match.Passionate about creating a better product, a better workplace, and a better world.Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members.On-the-job training in a continuous learning environment.Career advancement opportunities within our family of companies.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Act as the main technical liaison, representing New Flyer Engineering in production contracts and sales discussions.Support the bid process, including initial proposals, change requests, and configuration audits.Identify, define, and communicate technical configuration requirements to customers and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with technical specifications pre-bid.Evaluate technical risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate or leverage them.Release initial Bill of Material (iBoMs) and report BOM status to management for custom-built buses and coaches.Maintain detailed project documentation and assign design tasks to engineers for contract-specific work.Contribute to or lead continuous improvement initiatives across departments.Mentor and train new employees, and review engineering change orders (ECOs) before release.Travel:WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Education: Post secondary engineering education, technical training or a combination of education, skills, and experience.Experience: Proficient in engineering design, project management, Bills of Materials, and familiarity with the manufacturing industry.Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail; able to communicate engineering concepts clearly.Technical Proficiency: Experience with enterprise database software and engineering product lifecycle management systems is a plus.OUR WHY:
