The Corporate Systems group at Apple primarily focuses on creative ways to engineer business solutions to meet growing needs of Apple's Finance, iTunes, Sales, Retail, and IT Service organizations. Our portfolio comprises engineered custom solutions to process high volume transactions from Apple Pay, Apple Pay Later, iTunes Downloads, App Store, iPhone Activations to Sales from Retail, Online, and Resellers. These solutions are based on cutting edge enterprise technologies ranging from Distributed Systems, Microservices, Java, Spring/Boot, Oracle, MongoDB, AWS services to AI/ML, Generative AI, and Blockchain.DescriptionThe iRecon Payments Platform team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with a background in building distributed, high volume, scalable, and fault tolerant systems. We seek a self-starter with strong analytical and leadership capabilities to lead and design the next-generation payments platform that would shape the way we process transactional data at scale with full observability and enable Generative AI-assisted workflows to help improve users’ productivity and efficiency. The role requires the candidate to embrace complex software product architecture to engineer and support a continuous stream of financial data to ensure accurate invoicing, disbursements, receipts, and payments. Great communication, building business relationships, and thriving in a fast-paced environment are necessary for this role.Minimum Qualifications4+ years of experience in software engineering full stack.4+ years experience in Java core and Spring Boot framework with hands-on experience in designing and developing Microservices, REST API, and Java backend services.Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsIn-depth knowledge of Transformer architecture and Generative AI concepts.Strong knowledge and experience in prompt engineering, full instruct, and PEFT such as LoRA/QLoRA trainings on LLM.Hands-on experience with building and extending RAG, multi-agents framework such as Langchain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen is a plus.Experience with ML frameworks such as Pytorch or Tensorflow and Python data science modules.In-depth experience with distributed systems and high volume transactional systems.Experience with cloud provider services such as AWS, GCP, Azure.Experience designing and building distributed systems including scalability, reliability, and performance.Experience in SQL and NoSQL distributed databases such as Oracle and MongoDB.Experience in software development and architecture, object-oriented design, and data structures in Java.Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
