The company is a division of Compass Group and has more than 1,200 registered dietitians, 300 executive chefs, and 17,000 professional food service team members.SummaryAs an Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services (Healthcare Food Service Operations), you will be oversee the day-to-day food and nutrition operations for an 850-bed Healthcare System with a high-volume cafeteria ($35K in sales per day). You will lead and develop a large team, manage and cultivate client relationships, and maintain profitability while reaching financial goals and achieving growth plans. You will monitor ongoing matters relating to patient satisfaction initiatives in order to assure highest client retention and customer satisfaction levels.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees patient and retail food service operations for a large healthcare systemEstablishes goals and oversees implementation of patient food service needs based upon medical direction, patient population and contractPlans and supervises the patient food assembly and service, complying with dietary restrictions to ensure optimal food preferences are metWorks with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food.Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.Hires, trains, coaches, develops and evaluates 120 full-time retail and patient dining services team members, ensuring productivity, accuracy and competencyFosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs, which leads to optimal nutrition and financial outcomesComplies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policiesLeads patient satisfaction programsComplies with regulatory agencies, including federal, state, and Joint CommissionParticipates in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement ProgramFollows facility, department and Company safety policies and procedures to include occurrence reportingMaintains excellent relationships with the client.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsAssociate's degree is preferred.Minimum of three years of food service management in a high-volume acute or long-term care setting preferredWillingness to participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs/activitiesKnowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
