This role will provide program management leadership and operational support throughout our design organization and across partner teams by increasing communication and connection points, streamlining the design process, and driving design excellence. In this role, you’ll combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the designs of products that are used by millions of users. You’ll work cross-functionally and collaborate with product management, design and engineering teams to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, and help projects meet deadlines. You will also manage communications to team members, executives and other stakeholders. You are a master planner and a flexible project manager who can balance multiple projects in a creative design environment. As the Sr Manager of a team of Design Program Managers, your emphasis will be on ensuring your team is driving the planning and prioritization of design deliverables, resource management, schedule tracking, risk mitigation, and collaborating with design leads to deliver innovative solutions across work streams.Key job responsibilities

Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.Put repeatable processes in place that help us plan and manage multiple parallel projects and run our business.Create, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior management.Working across teams to create strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership teams.Communicate project status with design team and stakeholders regularly.Lead improvements to team efficiency and process.About the team

The Amazon Devices and Services Design Group (DDG) is a multidisciplinary design team that is responsible for the UX of Echo Family Devices, Alexa Mobile, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and more. DDG’s mission is to bring to life delightful, easy-to-use, and high value experiences for our customers.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of leading UX Design Project/Program Management and/or Design Ops experience in design organizations.8+ years of working cross functionally with design, product and tech teams experience.Experience operationalizing and maturing UX Design organizations within a complex and ambiguous corporate environment.Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery, including defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.Experience working with, presenting to, and influencing senior executives up to VP level.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $144,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $238,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
