The Maryland Food Bank (MFB)
is a nonprofit hunger-relief organization dedicated to feeding people, strengthening communities, and ending hunger for more Marylanders by partnering with local organizations from the western mountains to the Eastern Shore. The food bank’s statewide network of food assistance brings enough resources together to provide nearly 114,000 meals every day (more than 41 million meals annually) to hungry children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families, meeting the immediate needs of hungry Marylanders while simultaneously working to create pathways out of hunger.

Overview:
As the Director of Corporate Philanthropy, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission, driving innovative strategies to identify, cultivate, and secure corporate donors. Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Philanthropy to craft and execute a dynamic annual strategy that engages corporations and surpasses revenue targets. Your efforts will directly fuel our mission to end hunger in Maryland, making a tangible impact in the lives of countless individuals and communities.
Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including 3 days a week onsite and the remainder of the time in a remote work setting, with occasional field work involving direct engagement with donors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Partner with the Senior Director of Philanthropy to create and implement annual corporate engagement strategies.
Manage a portfolio of 50-75 corporate donors and cultivate a dynamic pipeline of potential donors and sponsors.
Strengthen donor relationships through regular updates and engagement; ensure existing donors receive full benefits.
Develop annual plans for securing sponsorships for key events like Pack to Give Back and Telethon.
Lead marketing and management of high-impact cause marketing campaigns.
Launch an innovative corporate volunteer giving program.
Represent MFB in the community through speaking engagements and outreach initiatives.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience may be substituted. Must have 5+ years of fundraising and/or sales experience.
Basic Qualifications:
High-level proficiency in MS 365 Office and Internet research.
Excellent writing, presentation, and project management skills.
Motivated self-starter who thrives both independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrates strong professionalism, discretion, cultural competence, and openness to feedback.
Flexible schedule including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel, with the ability to work a hybrid setup: three days a week onsite in Baltimore and the remainder remote.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in corporate philanthropy or similar roles.
Proven track record of securing corporate donations and sponsorships.
Strong network within the Maryland corporate community and a dedicated commitment to making a positive impact in our state.
Familiar with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred).
Reporting to the Philanthropy and Volunteer Department, you will be integral in building the funding foundation for our programmatic initiatives. Your work will support the Maryland Food Bank’s mission to deliver over 41 million meals annually, serving communities statewide and advancing our goal of ending hunger across Maryland.

Salary range:
$80,000 - $85,000
