Look no further than ZRS.If you have experience in Business Development and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.Zurich Canada is currently looking for an AVP, Sales & Distribution Quebec to provide expert advice to significant customer(s) and/or development of Strategic Business Unit /Shared Service Unit strategic plans to enhance opportunities and reduce business risk.Reporting to the VP National sales, ZRS you will add value by identifying need to modify Strategic Business Unit /Shared Service Unit policies, programs or services and develop cost-effective proposals.This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future in a supportive environment where your voice matters.What you will do:

• Responsible for sales targets: Seek new and renewal account opportunities and quarterback a team of sales specialists and underwriter resources to facilitate closing the opportunity.• Conduct discussions with distributors to develop a detailed and accurate distributor profile.• Complete and maintain detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.• Create business plans with key distributors that leverage the organization's broad range of insurance products and services.• Build strong business relationships at multiple levels of the distributor's organization.• Conduct regular sales calls with distributors with frequency aligned to opportunity and need.• Work with Business Units to execute distributor business plans.• Conduct periodic reviews with distributors, manage their performance to ensure execution of the business plan.• Qualify accounts to meet with the organization's appetite.• In partnership with underwriter, negotiate to close accounts with distributors.• Drive and manage process to increase the organization's product density at existing accounts.• Build internal relationships with organizational Business Units to facilitate a unified face to market.• Serve as the escalation point for distributors on service and business.• Manage sales pipeline.• Achieve goals related to sales calls, submissions, hit ratios, and production.• Effectively execute sales strategies and campaigns.What you bring to the table:

Job QualificationsRequired:• Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Sales areaOR• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Sales areaOR• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Sales areaAND• Leadership experience of multidisciplinary teams internally and externally.Preferred:• Insurance industry experience.• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Verbal and written proficiency in the English language is required in order to facilitate communication with internal and external key stakeholders located outside of Quebec.Our Culture
