The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving group sales in a hotel or hospitality environment, with a deep understanding of the Denver market.Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:Report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, providing regular updates on financial forecasts, departmental challenges, and resource needs.Hire, coach, mentor, and motivate the Group Sales Team.Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to track production and achievements.Manage and optimize the team's performance to achieve departmental group goals.Foster a collaborative team culture that drives innovation and results.Strategic Planning & Execution:Contribute to the development of the annual budget and marketing plan.Prepare accurate group rooms forecasts.Collaborate with the Director of Catering & Convention Services.Approve all group contracts and review returned contracts.Solicit, negotiate, and coordinate group business.Support Sales Managers in the negotiation process.Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners.Engage the team in FAM events and networking opportunities.Operational Excellence:Establish and maintain efficient office procedures.Manage department payroll on a weekly basis.Communicate special group requirements to hotel department heads.Additional Responsibilities:Attend required hotel and departmental meetings.Ensure all file turnover requirements are met.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.Experience:
5+ years as a Sales Manager in a hotel/resort environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Technical Proficiency:
Experience with Salesforce (Delphi), CVENT, Meeting Broker, and Microsoft Office.Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.Analytical Skills:
Strong statistical and analytical skills.Independence and Collaboration:
A self-starter with the ability to work independently.Multitasking:
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility:
Willingness to work outside traditional hours.Compensation Range
The compensation for this position is $92,000.00/Yr. - $97,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
