Pay Range: $30 - $35REPORTS TO (TITLE):

Director of Nursing or designeeDESCRIPTION OF POSITION:The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all nursing staff. This position also provides high-level administrative support to the DON and other nurse leaders. A critical function of this position is to facilitate information flow within the nursing department and to other functional areas within the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Schedule, coordinate, and notify all nursing staff of their assigned schedule. Post and distribute nursing schedule.Maintain current records of key contact information for all members of the nursing staff.Monitor attendance records including absenteeism, tardiness, and call-offs.Facilitate approval of time sheets and staff requests for PTO.Train and support House Charge nurses on administration of staffing requirements.Organize orientation and training activities for nursing staff, in conjunction with training programs managed by the Human Resources and Education departments.Work with Nursing Leadership and Human Resources staff to facilitate completion of skill competencies for all nursing staff, including competency training and assessment at the time of hire and renewal of competencies on a timely basis in compliance with regulations.Perform various administrative support duties related to updating and organizing information maintained on nursing units.Participate in activities which enhance professional growth and development. Uphold the organization's ethics and customer service standards.Prepare and send correspondence on behalf of Nursing Leadership as required.Create, maintain, and post signage related to Nursing Department schedules, events, and policies.Perform related duties as requested.Knowledge and Experience:Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.Current NCI equivalent as approved by the Chief Nursing Officer (or obtained within the first 30 days of hire).Expert level Microsoft Excel required.Minimum three years’ experience in administrative support roles.Experience in a role requiring independent thinking and problem-solving skills.Health care industry experience, particularly in patient psychiatric care, preferred.Skills and Abilities:Maintain confidentiality of patients at all times.Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.Advanced proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced, expanding organization.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
