The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commercial real estate development, leasing, financing, acquisitions, and dispositions, with specific expertise in retail and commercial leasing.Duties:Draft, review, analyze, revise, and negotiate legal documents, including leases, purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and entity documents.Independently manage sophisticated real estate transactions with minimum supervision, including complex lease agreements, acquisitions, dispositions, and retail/commercial transactions.Provide support and guidance to other attorneys throughout the Firm.Respond to client needs promptly and turn documents around efficiently.Train younger real estate attorneys and paralegals.Maintain electronic and hardcopy matter files per firm procedures.Log and submit matter time and expense billing.Utilize exceptional computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Adobe Software, and practice and matter management databases.Requirements:Graduated from an accredited US law school with a GPA in the top 33%.Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Association.3+ years of real estate experience, with specific experience in retail and commercial leasing.Working knowledge of all aspects of real estate law, including mortgage lending, survey and title practice, and entity formation and operation.Excellent legal writing skills, with law firm training preferred.Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited US law school.Certifications:
Admission to the State Bar of Texas.Skills:Proficiency in drafting and negotiating real estate legal documents.Ability to manage sophisticated real estate transactions independently.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Software, and practice and matter management databases.
