The PC team at Amazon is looking for an entrepreneurial Vendor Manager to own the P&L and relationships with key vendors in the PC category. This role involves utilizing diverse skills and collaborating across major functions like inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to enhance the performance of vendor partners in the PC Components Category.
As a Vendor Manager, you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms and contracts, expanding product selection, setting prices and inventory forecasts, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating a best-in-class customer experience.
The successful candidate will be able to take their skill-set across multiple facets of retail to drive a successful business. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business, innovate and overcome hurdles, and achieve profitable long-term growth. They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets by executing annual and ongoing vendor negotiations.Have a thorough understanding of the industry, business trends, events, and continually monitor both industry and competitor developments.Maximize Amazon’s business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities.Have an understanding of customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.Build vendor/brand relationships - be the primary point of contact for vendor selection onboarding, escalations, and negotiations.Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, all while meeting tight deadlines.Have a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business. This includes owning forecasting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting on the business.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
