Today’s dynamic global security threats require solutions both big and small – solutions living within the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC). Boasting state-of-the-art design capabilities, the NGMC is a leader in designing, fabricating, packaging, and delivering microelectronics to military, aerospace, and commercial markets.
One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a
Senior Principal Tableau Data Engineer
with demonstrated ability to lead development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team.
Responsibilities:
Utilize Tableau to build core capabilities used to better decipher and visualize data supporting the needs of a new superconducting electronics wafer fabrication line.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data analysis needs and build custom solutions in Tableau.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to data fidelity, dashboards, or reports.
Work under minimal direction to proactively determine and develop data visualization solutions.
Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers.
This position requires full-time work 100% onsite at our Linthicum, MD OR Annapolis Junction, MD location.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Tableau Data Engineer:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 8+ years of relevant experience; or a STEM Master's Degree with a minimum of 6 years experience; or a STEM PhD with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Proficient in Tableau dashboard creation.
Experience in modern programming languages (Python, SQL, etc.).
Knowledge of database concepts and data structure.
Experienced in data visualization best practices.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Must be willing to work on-site 100% of the time.
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in data science, computer science, software engineering, or related major.
Highly skilled in modern programming languages (Python, SQL, etc.).
Skilled in statistical data analysis and modeling.
Experience in high volume automated manufacturing microelectronics or semiconductor fabs.
Experience with manufacturing datasets and data structures specifically for semiconductor or microelectronics engineering.
Salary Range:
$139,700 - $209,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers.
