The Viewer Home team is on a mission to enhance the way people experience content with Vimeo. The team is responsible for all the various viewing surfaces on Vimeo, visited by millions of users each day. Fullstack Engineers on the Viewer Home team collaborate with product management and designers to plan, test, and execute a roadmap of new and updated products. We own the full technical stack, from APIs to frontend UI, for projects to drive viewer engagement, improve monetization tools, and encourage collaboration and community. We believe diversity of perspective and experience are key to building great technology, and that the best way to iterate towards success is by taking care of ourselves, our families, our users, and one another.What you’ll do:Build, maintain and enhance our video viewing destinations, across a range of devices and contextsApply and evolve your fullstack skill set to create engaging viewing experiences, combining high-quality user experience with performance, stability and scalabilityCollaborate closely with our Product, Design, Engineering and QA teams to move key projects from conception to launchContribute towards defining and improving our technical roadmap to enable rapid iteration and long term stabilityIdentify opportunities to improve our architecture and tooling across multiple levels of the stackSupport fellow engineers to achieve team goals and company-wide initiativesSkills and experience:3+ years of technical experience working on consumer-facing productsHands-on experience in fullstack web development, from creating frontend interfaces to building and maintaining APIs, and optimizing database transactions.Working understanding of technologies such as React, Typescript and/or PHP would be especially beneficialInterest in working on a large-scale system - making products more performant, scalable and robustA strong eye for product design, consideration for user experience, and unwavering attention to detailAbility to communicate and collaborate respectfully and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams across time zonesBase Salary Range:All other US cities outside above metro areas: $110,700 - $152,550At Vimeo, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent across the globe.
