For our client in Vlissingen we are hiring a
Team Lead for Extended Reality (xR) .As Team Lead for Extended Reality (xR), you will oversee an international team focused on supporting research, design, engineering, and production processes for innovative naval projects. Your role will involve advancing the use of xR technologies and promoting their application within projects, as well as to internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure the quality and timely delivery of xR initiatives while reporting to project management. Additionally, you will develop training solutions to prepare customers for on-board service.Responsibilities
Leading, coaching, and developing a small to medium-sized international xR team working on specialized naval projects.Managing the team’s activities, budget, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of xR solutions on schedule and within budget.Providing regular progress updates and project management reports.Ensuring that xR activities meet all project specifications and requirements.Acting as a Product Owner within the team’s agile framework, guiding the team to meet project objectives.Collaborating with various departments, customers, suppliers, and sub-projects to ensure xR solutions are well-integrated.Advocating for the use and adoption of xR technologies both within the organization and with external stakeholders.Encouraging continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the xR domain.Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or management, along with at least five years of experience leading xR teams.A strong background in xR development, solutions, and applications, particularly in military and naval contexts.Proven experience managing agile teams and fostering collaboration in diverse, cross-cultural environments.Proficiency in English and Dutch; German language skills are a plus.Key competencies: customer focus, results-driven, leadership, flexibility, and excellent communication and organizational skills.Excellent references, as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment process.Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with only an EU work visa or dual (EU/non-EU) nationality are not eligible due to project security requirements.
