We are looking for a talented and experienced
CAD Systems Manager
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Civil Designer or CAD Manager with strong expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Additionally, you will train and mentor CAD users on core application skills and standards. Standards Development and Management:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining AutoCAD and Civil 3D standards across multiple states. Establishing workflows and best practices for modeling and plan/production organization-wide. Creating and upholding standards for various public agencies, including departments of transportation (DOTs) and other agency clients. Developing and maintaining a layer manager file to standardize color utilities for transportation projects, and collaborating with survey teams to establish separate base files for right-of-way, property lines, easements, and section lines.Training and Mentorship:
Participating in the development and delivery of training for CAD users on core Civil 3D application skills, standards, and workflows. Providing ongoing mentorship and support to CAD users to enhance proficiency and adherence to standards.Workflow Analysis and Optimization:
Analyzing current CAD workflows to identify areas for improvement. Recommending and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and project consistency. Collaborating with project teams to streamline CAD and GIS related workflows and tools.Collaboration and System Maintenance:
Working closely with IT to coordinate upgrades, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Autodesk Products, including creating and testing deployment setups. Supporting user management for Autodesk products by optimizing license allocation and collaborating with the Engineering Applications Manager to maintain compliance, manage budgets, and procurement. Ensuring system stability and functionality for CAD users by implementing updates and addressing software issues. Facilitating cross-functional collaboration with project managers and design teams to support efficient project delivery. Participating in production work as needed to keep skills current and stay updated on application advancements.May perform other duties associated with this role.Qualifications for this role:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, computer science, or a related field. Equivalent training and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.10+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated expert-level knowledge of Civil 3D system and standards.Revit experience is a plus.Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary design teams.Successful track record in project delivery and adherence to standards.Expertise in developing and implementing design standards across multiple disciplines.Experience with software implementation and management.Competency in managing software licensing compliance.Proficiency in managing, patching, and upgrading a diverse set of Autodesk software applications.Familiarity with creating and conducting training programs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to continuous professional development.What we offer:
