H&H is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Traffic Engineer/Traffic Modeler with five+ years of professional experience to be part of our transportation team. This position will provide traffic engineering capabilities in support of our Southern District operations, with potential for additional responsibilities in our growing southern regions including North Carolina, Louisiana, and Texas. The successful candidate will provide traffic signal design, traffic analysis, signing and pavement marking design, and assist with design efforts for the Transportation group. A strong background in Florida DOT and County design policies and procedures is preferred.With over 137 years of experience, H&H is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm. With over 600 talented employees located across 30 offices nationwide, H&H can efficiently and effectively handle assignments of all sizes, types, and delivery methods around the country and across the globe.ResponsibilitiesProvide Traffic Signal, Signing and Striping Design and EOR duties on Signalization and S&PM Plan SetsPerform intersection and roadway capacity analyses using HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software and prepares traffic impact studiesOversee the creation of engineering documents, design reports, and variation/exception reportsProvide support to local and regional offices within the companyCoordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teamsPerform internal quality control proceduresAbility to market services to current and prospective clients to assist in the creation of letters of response and technical proposals/presentations is preferredBachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year collegeFlorida Professional Engineering License or ability to obtainPTOE certification a plusMinimum five years of experienceKnowledge of FDOT plan preparation criteria and design standardsKnowledge of other transportation disciplines and their relationship to traffic designStrong verbal communication and technical writing skillsAbility to train and mentor entry-level staffWe offer a professional work environment, a competitive salary, benefits package and 401(k).EOE M/F/ DISABILITY/VETS
