On their behalf, we manage (or “service”) their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.Summary:Works with the Loss Mitigation team to minimize losses on delinquent mortgages by working according to investor guidelines in an attempt to resolve at-risk mortgages.Responsibilities:Perform workout approvals for multiple Loss Mitigation TeamsEnsure that the appropriate entity (yourself, a client, or mortgage insurance company) has reviewed and approved a Loss Mitigation WorkoutUndertake special projects related to departmental activities and perform other duties as assignedAccurately underwrite the borrower’s income through the review of paystubs, tax documents, benefit statements, business profit and loss statements, etc.Address any borrower questions or concerns through phone and/or email. Handle escalated files appropriately by providing an articulate and complete responseContribute to the progress of the department by understanding the measurements used to define success and how they can positively impact those measurementsPerform live and recorded call monitoring and provide immediate coaching and feedback as neededEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresAssist with homeowner calls as departmental needs arise, including escalated callsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications/Skills:Minimum 3+ years of Loss Mitigation, collections, or related mortgage servicing experienceProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellence in consulting and advising customers via telephone and written communicationExperience analyzing financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, home appraisals, title searches, and other documents to evaluate pre-foreclosure remediesDemonstrated strong skill set for organization and attention to detailStrong negotiating and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to meet strict deadlinesSelf-Motivated; ability to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills to improve team performanceAbility to work overtime as neededUnderstanding of mortgage lending and servicingEducational Requirements:High School Diploma required, college degree preferred but not requiredCompany Perks
