What You'll Do

The Product Manager is responsible for managing products and executing product roadmaps.

This role works closely with the Director of Product Evolution and supports all aspects of the product development lifecycle from post-proof-of-concept to launch, ensuring that products meet industry needs, technical requirements, and business objectives.

This position works closely with agency leaders, program management, and other key constituents to thoroughly understand their needs and how various products can be used to meet their goals.

This enterprise role functions as a stakeholder with a vested interest by playing a key role in turning identified opportunities into demonstrated results.

Responsibilities

Ensure products are aligned with product strategy and company’s overall business objectives.

Collaborate with Director to develop, refine and execute detailed product roadmaps and prioritize features based on market demand and business value.

Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain product backlogs, ensuring alignment with overall product roadmaps.

Conduct user research and competitive analysis to understand customer needs and market opportunities.

Manage critical cross-functional internal and external partners, including program leaders, researchers, developers, engineers, data scientists, data providers, and more.

Gather, prioritize, and document customer requirements and leverage insights to inform product decisions.

Support and execute tasks related to product launch plans, including marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and customer training.

Conduct research and analyses to inform product development and enhancements, monitor product performance, and support future product investments.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Data & Analytics, Economics, OR related field or equivalent in years of applicable work experience in product management or business analytics.

Two (2) or more years of business experience in deploying products and/or advanced data analytics solutions and obtaining the desired business results

Proven ability to lead and guide products through each phase of the product lifecycle

Demonstrated experience developing product roadmaps and working with leadership teams to identify key opportunities to develop and enhance products or programs

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal and people skills with the ability to work independently, within a team environment, and with a diverse group of people at all levels of the agency, including Senior Leadership

Ability to convert vague business requirements into functional product implementations and relate results back to business value

Ability to work directly with different functions, deliver against a roadmap, manage expectations, and navigate escalations

Demonstrated experience conducting market analysis and research to inform product and business strategy

Proficiency in data analysis and visualization

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Familiarity with the nonprofit industry, child welfare, and/or social and family services

Experience with product management software (e.g. Jira, Asana, etc.)

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years combined experience at a nonprofit organization, innovation lab, tech company, and/or business-oriented environment (e.g. management consulting firm), or an Advanced Degree.

Advanced proficiency in analytics, data visualization or data science.

Strong understanding of multiple product development methodologies

Advanced experience with product management software (g. Jira, Asana, MS Project)

Knowledge of user experience (UXUXand user interface (UIUIdesign principles
