We will empower you to lead, develop deep expertise, and find new approaches to solving the toughest challenges.Position Overview:The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Member Relations team seeks an entrepreneurial, intellectually curious professional to join our team and support the membership growth of our legal programs, the Institute for Legal Reform (ILR) and the U.S. Chamber Litigation Center.The Chamber’s legal programs tackle the most significant, precedent-setting issues of the day on behalf of the American business community and are led by top litigators, many of them former Supreme Court clerks. Our Member Relations team works hand in glove with the legal teams to support our corporate partners here in Washington and across the country. Each day, we partner with C-suite executives and general counsels at the most important multinational companies.We are seeking a coordinator for our Member Relations Legal team. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, highly organized, and entrepreneurial, with strong research and writing skills. This role involves delivering member opportunities and value, driving business interest and new commitments, and supporting the development, engagement, retention, and growth of our corporate members. The coordinator will work collaboratively across new business, member engagement, research, and operations, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail, self-confidence, and tenacity.Responsibilities:Leverage Salesforce to research company membership, generate insightful reports, track news and updates, and identify trends to support our membership and sales strategy.Support our ILR and Litigation Center attorney executives by developing comprehensive briefs on major companies, digging deep into financial data, news sites, company press releases and websites, and other sources as they prepare to meet with general counsels and other C-suite executives.Participate in high-level, fast-paced meetings with Chamber executives and attorneys and take concise meeting notes, identify action items, and craft persuasive internal and external documents and communications.Stay up to date on political and corporate news trends, the Chamber’s work, and the needs and interests of our member and prospective companies and proactively connect the dots between the headlines and the corresponding impact on a given industry or company.Gradually assume full ownership and management of a designated portfolio of member accounts, ensuring personalized attention and superior service.Ensure timely and accurate delivery of invoices for membership dues, closely monitoring to meet critical deadlines established by leadership.Elevate member events through guest list curation, personalized invitation dispatch, and comprehensive on-site event assistance.Assist the Member Relations vice president with calendar management, meeting coordination, and administrative tasks.Play a pivotal role in the team’s synergy, offering robust support to colleagues.Embrace a variety of assignments and responsibilities as the need arises, contributing to the overarching goals of the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of relevant membership, fundraising, sales support, writing, or research experience.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leaders with confidence and grace.Superior organization.Comfort with ambiguity.An understanding of the Chamber’s mission and an appreciation for its impact on the business sector.Enthusiasm for political, legal, and policy issues.A nose for news and the ability to creatively connect the dots between the headlines and the corresponding impact on a given industry or company.Ability to manage complex and fast-changing portfolios of work and prioritize effectively in response.An entrepreneurial spirit and a track record showing initiative and ownership of work.Experience using a CRM, such as Salesforce.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, notably Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.The salary range for this position is $48,400.00 to $57,500.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors.
