job purpose :
The Human Resources Manager provides strategic leadership and support in functional areas of Human Resources including recruitment, employment, employee relations, job evaluation, benefits administration, employee development, training, and special projects. This position serves as a strategic and tactical business partner to the plant leadership team.
responsibilities:
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the operations team to assist in developing solutions, programs, and policiesWork closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, support employee development and increase productivity and retentionProvide HR policy guidance and interpretation with knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations ensuring complianceMaintain HR Information System records, payroll records, and compile reports from databaseLead and manage hourly and supervisor recruitment for the facilityProvide assistance with the evaluation of compensation and make appropriate recommendationsCoach management in various HR activities such as recruitment, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, and policy trainingSource, screen, test, and recommend candidates for employment and conduct employee orientationDevelop and oversee practices to recognize, reward, and appreciate employeesLead a small team of human resources professionalsHave a presence with various shifts within the plantskills/qualifications required:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related experience3+ years of relevant experienceHRIS experience required, ADP preferredStrong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulationsProven record of implementing processes and change managementThorough knowledge of plant procedures and policiesHR Certifications, preferredStrong recruitment experienceDisciplined problem-solving methodology with an ability to find the root cause of issuesExperience implementing programs that get business results for the group they servedfood safety requirements:
Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
