Job Description:Are you a self-motivated and enterprising manager with strong leadership skills? Do you have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy daily tasks that will challenge you? If you said yes, we want you to join the Department of Labor as an IT Business Systems Analyst Supervisor and oversee a dynamic group of Business Systems Analysts to ensure performance metrics and IT needs of the customer and the agency are met.
The Department of Labor does not provide sponsorship for work visas. This position is on-site with no opportunity for remote work.
Successful candidate will be required to complete and pass a Federal Background Check, which includes being fingerprinted.

Examples of Work
The IT Business System Analyst (BSA) Supervisor will guide and direct the duties of the BSA team working with large complex enterprisescale systems. The supervisor will be responsible for employee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and discipline. Will coordinate team assignments, prioritize work, prepare project/work plans, monitor work progress, prepare project progress reports, and work closely with IT system vendors.
•Lead IT projects.•Perform business process analysis, design, and management for business applications by serving as liaison between business end-users and developers/vendors.•Analyze and document business systems requirements.•Communicate the needs of the business users to technical staff; present ideas in business and user-friendly context.•Work on multiple projects of high complexity simultaneously.•Act as a change agent to respectfully challenge the norm, to critically analyze and solve problems of a complex nature.•Supervision of application upgrades/modifications, including timelines, identification of team responsibilities, oversight of systems, conduct tests, analyze results, and work closely with application developers to implement change modifications.•Provide technical support for users by producing and maintaining process and system documentation.•Train users on new procedures and systems.•Lead team to provide day-to-day support to end users.•Must be a strong communicator.
Location: 550 South 16th Street, Lincoln, NESchedule: 8am-5pm; Monday-Friday
Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in leading or supervising employees engaged in the analysis of business processes and system requirements, and the creation of business process solutions for large-scale business system applications. OR Experience in coordinating business process projects through the facilitation of others for large-scale business system applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or Information Technology or a minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Business Analyst working with large, complex enterprise-scale systems. Minimum of two years' experience in insurance, tax or eligibility claims processing or two years' experience in a workforce program or two years' experience in federal and state programs.
