ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Aviatrix Networking Product Engineering team is responsible for delivering performant, resilient, and scalable solutions to our gateway appliances. This includes infrastructure for messaging, upgrade, high availability, as well as networking and security features that contribute to the Aviatrix, end to end multi-cloud solution.
We are searching for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Network Software Engineering team. You will be responsible for solving new challenges in multi cloud networks and connecting cloud to the edge with security This position offers flexibility of hybrid work (2-3 days) in Santa Clara, CA or Champaign, IL office.
Responsibilities:
Design core software componentsCode using primarily Python and GolangInterface with other teams to deliver features end-to-endParticipate in design and code reviewsAnalyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system componentsCan complete small features independently without guidanceProactively identify and drive changes as needed for the productQualifications:
6+ years relevant software development experience building enterprise-grade appliances at scaleExperience software design, implementing and delivering features independently without guidanceProficiency in Golang (preferred) or PythonStrong Experience with IPv6 is requiredStrong knowledge of Networking Protocols: TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCPv6Security protocol experience, (e.g., SSL, Authentication and Authorization, firewall)Prior working experience on one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba cloud, etc.) is a plusExperience with Software Define Networking (SDN) and distributed systemsExperience with overlays and tunneling technologiesExcellent software engineering skills: ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable codeTeam player that works well in collaborative situations and start-up environmentsExcellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communicationNice to have:
Experience with Routing protocols like BGP
US Pay Range:
The US National annual base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 - $195,000 (Champaign, IL) or $215,000 - $225,000 (Santa Clara, CA) + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
