Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will work with children who have a variety of medical and developmental needs, developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to help each child grow and thrive. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:Assess and evaluate the developmental and functional needs of pediatric patients in the PPEC setting.Develop individualized therapy plans and goals tailored to each child's unique needs.Provide hands-on therapy sessions, utilizing age-appropriate and engaging methods to support physical and/or occupational development.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, speech therapists, and caregivers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.Educate and support families, providing guidance on exercises and activities to continue at home.Maintain compliance with all PPEC facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.Participate in staff meetings, care plan reviews, and ongoing professional development opportunities.Qualifications:
Valid state license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in a home health, outpatient, or PPEC setting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.CPR certification preferred.Benefits:
