Summary
Summary:The Admissions Representative role pre-admits and admits all admissions. The Admissions Representative determines insurance coverage, eligibility, performs required pre-authorization procedures, and ensures the accuracy of the patient's medical record number, demographic, financial and insurance information. Registers clients and schedules follow-up visits, collects copays and maintains release of information.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. 2. License/Certifications: N/A 3. Experience: One year of customer service experience required. Six months receptionist experience in a health care setting preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
