Purpose:The Investment Finance team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and assisting in the preparation of the investment quarterly/annual disclosures and reporting for Athene. This includes providing financial statement analysis, variance analysis, and financial results messaging to Athene's leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with specific experience in GAAP and Statutory reporting.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for investment reporting on a GAAP and Statutory basisPrepare quarterly and annual 10Q/10K and MD&A investment disclosuresAssist with SEC reporting requirements and respond to Investor/Analyst questionsSupport the financial analysis of operating results, balance sheets, and other key performance indicatorsMaintain and update process documentation and support audit requests to ensure accuracy and complianceSupport new assumed reinsurance initiatives and reporting considerations for strategic transactionsLead/Drive transformation within the Investment Finance area enhancing investment reporting capabilitiesBuilds and fosters close relationships with Apollo, Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, and IT business areasDevelop and lead a team of professionals by setting expectations, mentoring and coaching, driving results, sharing strategic direction, collaborating and communicating effectivelyQualifications and Experience:
5+ years directly relatable technical experience2+ years of direct or indirect team leadership experienceCPA, MBA, or CFA a plusProficiency in ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyKnowledge of investment types and related reporting preferredKnowledge of GAAP and Statutory financial accounting regulations a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
