We are looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing who is ready for the next step in their career! As the Assistant Director of Nursing you will be planning, organizing and directing the nursing in-service program, training new nursing personnel and assisting the Director of Nursing. The Assistant Director of Nursing should possess the ability to analyze problem situations in depth. Must be able to multi-task use good judgement in working with residents and prioritizing and completing work assignments. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing and display good judgment, discretion, and independence. Must be detail-orientated and able to work effectively with a diverse range of employees, vendors and business contacts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting the Director or Nursing with the day-to-day functions of the departmentPlanning and organizing all annual mandatory in-services for the communitySupervises nurse assistants in the performance of assigned dutiesTrains new nursing personnel to provide quality resident care and to comply with state Department of Health regulationsParticipates in the on-call schedule as directed by the administrator and director of nursingMonitors and records infection control documentationOrganizes, participates and/or facilitates various committee meetings including QAPI and RiskWorks on the floor as a charge nurse when neededQualifications

Active RN license in the state of IndianaTwo years of experience in a long-term care setting preferredCertification to give Mantoux tests, CPR, and first aid training
