Serve as a trusted advisor for clients while collaborating on the impact of the latest accounting standards, as well as a resource and mentor for other audit team members.RESPONSIBILITIES:Audit of financial statements including, but not limited to: auditing cash, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, income expense analysis etceteraAssists on special projects (i.e. due diligence or mergers and acquisitions)Works to develop better skills through reading, training seminars, CPE and accepting challenging engagements/projectsResearch technical issuesEffectively explains engagement objectives and related technical issuesUnderstands and applies all work proceduresIdentifies the need for and seeks guidance to assist in resolution of technical issuesAcquires and maintains awareness of general business trends and issues, and applies knowledge to client issues and solutionsIdentifies and communicates issues and ideas with client and/or in-chargeCommunicates with team members as to the status of engagements/projectsRequirementsREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting2+ Years of progressively challenging public accounting experienceCPA licensure or actively working towards CPA licensureStrong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft OfficeSolid knowledge of Internal Revenue CodeAbility to reason intelligently and use sound judgmentAbility to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detailsAbility to communicate effectively in both written and verbal capacitiesStrong interpersonal skills and team-orientedBenefits401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveTuition reimbursementVision insuranceWork from home
