Job Summary

A detail oriented, experienced troubleshooter with 3-5 years of sysadmin experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with a focus on Microsoft products, both on premise and in the cloud. This role will be splitting time between two core functions. First, helping our Dallas operation with all their IT needs, including tier 1/tier 2 troubleshooting, creating new users and issuing equipment, as well as being hands on for any networking and server related issues. The other primary duty is working alongside the Infrastructure team in Fort Mill on projects that affect the entirety of PCI Group, such as server migrations and patch management, as well as change requests from our compliance department. Due to the nature of this role, communication is key, both to management in the Dallas operation and with the overall team in Fort Mill, to ensure smooth operations across the organization. This role will be hybrid, with the expectation of four days on site and one work from home day per week.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting Nutanix AHV & VMware virtualization platforms in a highly secure Nutanix, Cisco, Fortinet, environment

Troubleshooting & resolving complex technical issues.

Participates in cross-functional projects, planning and architecture discussions and decisions.

Documentation of policies, processes, and procedures related to the environment.

Respond to and remediate automated notifications of events

Lifecycle management and capacity planning for virtualization platforms

Managing and configuring servers, firewalls, networks

Maintaining and testing a Disaster Recovery (DR) Infrastructure

Participate in and support PCI’s yearly Security Audits and Certification process working hand in hand with the Compliance Team for all on premise needs.

Keep current on new technologies and training.

Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Requirements

1-2 years of Tier 1/Tier 2 Desktop Support

3-5 years Systems Support

1-2 years Virtualization (Nutanix or VMware)

M365/O365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Core Architecture, plus a special focus on Microsoft Security across the board.

Proficient with Active Directory, DNS, Entra ID/Azure Active Directory

Proficient in PowerShell and scripting to help automate processes and remediate issues.

Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016-2022

Must be a customer service oriented, highly productive individual who can work alone and in group settings with internal customers, business managers, consultants, and other IT staff.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, oral, and written communication skills

Ability to work under pressure, reprioritize, and adjust to rapid changes in direction and deadlines while balancing multiple high priority projects with minimal supervision.

Excellent organizational, team, project management skills

Preferred

Experience administrating servers, firewalls, networks, security software, etc.

Top-level understanding of network segmentation – VLAN, user isolation, DMZ, RBAC, etc.

Database and VM High Availability: SQL Always-On DB cluster, load balancers - maintenance

Administer Disaster Recovery System: Veeam, Microsoft Recovery Services, SQL backup/restore, RTO, RPO, Veeam, Object First, or other similar services.

Understanding of the NIST Framework in a working environment

Nutanix AHV administration/engineering experience in an enterprise environment

Data Encryption at rest and in motion

Linux experience

Experience with the ManageEngine suite of products.

MDM (Mobile Device Manager) or MAM (Mobile Application Manager)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or business information systems
