Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.

We are currently recruiting for a Clinician IV within our GWCAC department. This position will be responsible assessing individual, family and community needs related to child behavioral health services.Job Duties

Job Responsibilities

Provide consultation regarding the scheduling of assessments and delivery of services to Program Specialist, Support Staff, and Supervisees.Administer and interpret community-approved assessment tools in order to provide a standardized comprehensive assessment of children and families.Initial and ongoing assessment of child and family needs, abilities, strengths and preferences, and service planning.Provides brief models of counseling for children, adolescents, and their parents.Other duties as assigned.Work Schedule

Monday- Friday: Standard Business Hours.

Hybrid schedule (Remote/Work-Site) depending on program needs and after successfully completing the probation.

Skills and Qualifications

Ability to develop individual service plans for children in collaboration with their families and other service providers.Possess knowledge of child and family systems, behavioral health disorders in children, and appropriate interventions for identified problems.Must possess the ability to link children and families with needed clinical and support services.Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situationOne year of work experience with individuals with serious mental health and/or developmental disabilities

preferredValid driver's license is

required.Master's Degree in a human services field

required.Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling or Board of Social Work ( LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP)
