We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance industry team. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including the general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliationsDevelop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirementsPrepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsManage the monthly and year-end close processes, including coordinating with other departments and external auditorsOversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and paymentsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and auditorsProvide financial analysis and support to senior management, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planningManage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance managementQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and regulationsExperience with general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP
