National Accounts Manager, Consumer Products

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will play an integral role as a dedicated member of the Teknor Apex Consumer Products Division.This position will report directly to our Sales Director or VP, Consumer Products and will be responsible for achieving strategic objectives at a select group of national and regional accounts. The successful candidate will have current experience working with various national and regional retailers across various channels including home improvement, hardware, eCommerce, mass merchant, and farm and ranch, among others.

Responsibilities:Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities through research of current data.Assists in preparation of strategic business reviews and product line reviewsAssist in preparation of contractual agreements related to marketing support programs.Implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive growth.Creating and delivering sales presentations to educate and close the customer.Demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships.Communicates regularly with customers to resolve open issues and to provide daily administrative support.Implements vendor managed programs as needed.Represents Teknor Apex at trade shows and customer events.Demonstrated ability to solve customer problems, suggest new strategic direction through innovative programs and or products to benefit customers and enhance their profitability.Analytic ability and inductive thinking are required to devise new methods in situations where previously accepted methods have proven inadequate.Must be comfortable with face-to-face negotiations, managing complex situations, and various other social situations.Must have the ability to interpret customer data and create analytics that supports product programming offers.Strong oral/written communication skills, presentation skills, organizational skills and time management skills required.Collaborative mindset and ability to partner with internal resources related to customer programming mgmt and supply chain efforts on the behalf of customers.Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Proficient in data analytics, converting data into visually appealing, actionable items in various forms such as Excel spreadsheets and/or Powerpoints.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

3-5 years of consumer product experienceBachelor's degree requiredSales experience working with home improvement retailers, eCommerce, hardware channels and lawn and garden or general merchandise categories preferred, as well as, experience working with and managing independent sales representatives and/or brokersExperience with short- and long-term sales planning, forecasting, budgeting and executing merchandising plansTrack record of superior performance metricsPhysical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbsMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
