The Driver-Large Store Delivery is a non touch freight position and will make deliveries to customers along their assigned route.What your day will look like:
Transports and unloads products to customersCommunicates any store level issue to managementComplies with DOT rules for driving purposesMaintains rapport with customersAbility to work with a handheld deviceEstablish positive relationships with all customers, as well as providing superior customer serviceProvides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities as they ariseAbility to work with all functional team membersCommunicates any store level issue to managementResponsible for safeguarding company assetsCollection of any breakage or out of date product, including empty shells and palletsAccurate accounting for all cases and customer transactionsEnsure proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement dailyBuild strong relationships with customer base across assigned customersPerforms appropriate duties as assigned by managementWhat you need to succeed:
Minimum of 21 years oldClass A Commercial Valid Driver's License required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policiesRegular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelinesAbility to maintain safety and security of Company assetsAbility to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oralinstructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsMust be able to operate a manual or motorized pallet jackFrequent standing, walking, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs and repeat exposure to weather, noise, chemical and vehicle operationCCBCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.
