We are seeking an exceptional Admissions Coordinator to administer the day-to-day operations of the nursing home facility.Position: Admissions CoordinatorThe Admissions Coordinator provides essential office support for the admissions department, performing general clerical duties such as typing, filing, and maintaining admission records. This role assists guests and their families with the admission process, ensuring all necessary paperwork and records are obtained, and that rooms are prepared appropriately. The Admissions Assistant plays a key role in facilitating a smooth admission experience for new guests and maintaining effective communication within the facility.Key Responsibilities:General Office Support:Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, and maintaining admission records.Establish, develop, maintain, and update the filing system for the admissions office.Retrieve information from files as needed.Admission Assistance:Assist guests and family members with completing the admission process.Ensure all admission paperwork is completed and necessary financial and medical records are obtained.Meet with guests and families on the day of admission to answer questions and ensure a smooth admission process.Room Preparation:Ensure appropriate preparation of rooms prior to the arrival of new guests.Communication and Reporting:Provide daily census reports to the interdisciplinary team.Report all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, and supply issues to appropriate persons.Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with guests, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.Report all guest concerns to the appropriate department head.Guest Interaction:Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of guests.Interact with guests in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environment.Answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in guest care areas.Safety and Infection Control:Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times.Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.Meetings and Training:Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in admissions or a related field.Strong organizational and clerical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.Knowledge of infection control and standard precaution practices.Compassionate and respectful attitude towards guests and their families.#INDOSH
