You have an exceptional commitment to understanding complex technical accounting issues and SEC Reporting and being a go-to resource to stakeholders across the business. You are hands-on and enjoy overseeing areas like SEC filings, consolidations, and M&A transactions. You have outstanding communication skills and you thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead and supervise the SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting and Consolidations teamsOversee the preparation of all SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.)Review reporting of results by our brands on a monthly basis including investigation and follow up directly with local accounting and finance teamsOversee the consolidations (and intercompany) team and ensure consolidation of financial statements are performed accurately and timelyPerform technical accounting research on complex accounting issues and provide accounting guidance to business partners under US GAAP including in-depth knowledge of ASC 718 - Share-based payments, ASC 842 - Leases, ASC 350 and ASC 360 - Impairment of long lived and intangible assets, ASC 805 - Business Combinations and ASC 815 - Derivatives and Hedging.Lead the evaluation and implementation of new accounting standards (as applicable) and review accounting policies, as well as inform management on the upcoming changesReview accounting for share based payments and derivatives on a monthly basisCollaborate across the organization including FP&A and brand finance/accounting to resolve accounting questions, issues and discuss reporting of resultsOversee and review tangible and intangible asset impairment analyses on a quarterly/annual basis including the management third-party valuation firmsPrepare formal accounting memos on various accounting topics, as needed, and review with the Company's management and external auditorsPreparation and documentation of purchase accounting in connection with business combinations/acquisitions, as neededReview the accounting associated with various bank financing arrangements and internal tax restructurings, as neededYou'll Need to Have:
B.S. or above degree in AccountingCPA requiredMinimum 5 years public accounting experience with 3 years private experience at a publicly traded company - Minimum of 8 years in totalPrior experience in SEC reporting and consolidationsExperience preparing and reviewing fair value and discounted cash flow analyses associated with business combinations and goodwill/intangible asset impairment testingStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC Regulations S-K and S-XExperience in SEC reporting, general accounting and internal/external audit proceduresStrong knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience with various on-line accounting research toolsHyperion HFM experienceWe'd Love to See:
