Scheduling requirements: equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule)Floating policy: other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical w oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed.Patient Experience requirements: Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5Ps checked. Reporting to PCTs of known needs at beginning and during shifts, Check glass board for dept focus areas, Scrolling video kiosk available as well as email for update references.Unit Specific Information
Number of Beds: 30Patient Ratio: 5-6 : 1Unit staffing description - Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCTs day & night, Nursing Supervisor, HospitalistsType of equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2sDocumentation system: Meditech-HCA versionMedications: WOW with med drawers, PyxisES dispensing systemPatient Experience requirements: Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5Ps checked. Reporting to PCTs of known needs at beginning and during shifts, Check glass board for dept focus areas, Scrolling video kiosk available as well as email for update references.Dress Code: RN- Navy and CNA/PCT- ceil blue scrub set and jacket (if desired). May wear white, blue, grey, or black tshirt underneath if desired- no graphics. No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polishUnit Guidelines/Policies: Documentation of telemetry application, acknowledging rhythm strips and place in chart each shift.
