Blue Ridge Power (BRP) is seeking a qualified

Senior Manager, Safety

to assist the Manager, Safety with implementing and ensuring the Safety Program, Site Safety Plans, and Sub-contracts are enforced. They will ensure that our company and all subcontractors comply and adhere to OSHA guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.

The Senior Manager, Safety will motivate, educate, and coach all employees and contractors on-site to adhere to all safety policies and regulations. The Senior Manager, Safety oversees and manages Managers, Safety, and Safety Coordinators in all aspects of their job scope.

This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position.

The position is project-based with per diem. Site states include, but are not limited to: Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, Indiana, and Kentucky.

What You'll Do:

Monitor and evaluate the workplace to ensure compliance with all OSHA, company policies, and all other agencies.Support the Director, Safety with incident investigations and root cause analysis.Conduct safety meetings such as Toolbox Talks, Committee Meetings, etc.Review and update safety material and best practices.Inspect Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including Arc Flash protective gear, Safety glasses/goggles, gloves, etc.Provide and conduct safety audits, PROCORE observations, and safety supply orders for management as requested.Stay current and up to date with OSHA and other regulatory safety guidelines.Travel to various sites ensuring safety regulations and guidelines are met.Provide coaching and mentoring for all employees exhibiting unsafe and safe behaviors.Help the Director, Safety manage and handle incident claims and maintain OSHA logs.Perform and assist with risk, hazard, and safety assessments.Perform First Responder duties as needed.Manage LOTO programs/Commissioning duties to ensure compliance.Manage, coach, and mentor Managers, Safety, and Safety Coordinators in all aspects of their job scope.Ensure all Safety supplies are adequate, and ordered as needed.Support Site Management in ensuring site compliance with all agencies during construction.Train employees as needed to support the necessary safety training needed.All other assigned responsibilities by Director, Safety and Safety Department leadership.Must-Haves:

12+ years' experience managing safety efforts on large-scale projects or 16 years without a bachelor's degree.Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental health and safety-related risks.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to manage employees.Ability to effectively train employees.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, PROCORE, and other databases.Nice-to-Haves:

Experience in the utility-scale solar/ renewable energy industry.Fluent in Spanish.Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience.Experience with working and presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level.Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI.Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study is preferred.Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license is required.CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is required.OSHA 30 Certification is required.OSHA 510 is required.OSHA 500 is required.Certified Safety Professional (BCSP), CHST, any MESH Certificate, or equivalent is preferred and desired.Working Environment and Physical Demand:

Project-based position with travel up to 100%The position requires travel to our project site(s).Must possess reliable transportation.Able to travel for extended periods to various locations.May require lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer, for extended periods.Must be able to comply with all company safety standards and procedures, including OSHA requirements.Must follow organization policies and procedures.Individuals in this position work in an outdoor environment and must be able to tolerate all climates.Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk short to long distances for 8-10 hours daily.
