Interns will assist Sr. Consultants and Tax Managers in performing sales/use tax reconciliations and assist Sr. Tax Consultants and Tax Managers on various segments of sales tax overpayment reviews and audit assessment reductions.
This internship is a part-time, 12-week internship, during the Summer 2025 semester, taking place from May to August 2025. Application review and interview process will take place during the Fall 24 and Spring 25 semester.This position is part-time, with a flexible hybrid schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare Excel schedules for taxability codingReview purchase invoices, input descriptions in spreadsheets, and perform preliminary taxability coding.Research taxability issues and formulate conclusionProjects:
Interns will work on audit/overpayment review projects for clients doing business in Texas and Louisiana.Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Qualifications
Interns pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance who have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting I.GPA Desired: 2.5 or higherSkills: Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
