Overview NOW HIRING a Purchasing/Supply Storekeeper at our Miller Road location in Kalamazoo General Job Activities: Making a direct contribution to important plant goals of properly purchasing all non-rollstock materials and supplies, ensuring proper inventory and maintaining property accountability and data integrity. As a clerk and key member of the administrative staff, this person needs a complete understanding of supply chain operations, MRO parts, automated management of purchasing and inventory control functions, storeroom functions, ordering and parts distribution as well as physical security. This role serves as an information point of contact for supply availability, cost control functions and the status of Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) parts in the facility. Responsibilities The Purchasing/Supply Storekeeper is responsible for but not limited to the following activities: Purchase of all non-rollstock materials Ensure P.O. numbers are accurately processed in a timely manner Day-to Day operations of all Storeroom functions Maintenance of physical security of all parts, supplies and equipment as directed Drive high service level in support of all storeroom customers Generate reports (i.e. monthly inventory, daily stock movement, due-in, past-due, etc.) Print asset and location barcodes and label appropriately Demonstrate a working knowledge of company purchasing procedures Order (initiate requisitions), receive and enter materials in CMMS and SAP Obtain and communicate quotes to appropriate personnel Coordinate and follow-up delivery of material/equipment needed from vendors Arrange asset delivery as needed Perform cycle counts and complete associated documents Adjust stocking levels up or down when necessary Report and order critically low assets Ensure that all parts are organized and stocked currently Combine/consolidate common assets and update system with new location Input/update asset information in CMMS/SAP system (Vendor information price, equipment hierarchy, PO #, storeroom location and any other information that may not have been previously captured) Retrieve assets stored in main and secondary storerooms Kit-up maintenance materials for rebuilds, planned outages, projects etc. Work within Maintenance management plan to manage stock levels effectively Enforce storeroom policies and procedures for accountability and accuracy Housekeeping - Sweep, dust, clean and remove trash as directed Secure storeroom (i.e. no unauthorized personnel allowed inside) Continuously improve storeroom activities utilizing system generated reports, customer feedback and management plans and directions Print out worksheets for all future, anticipated or scheduled Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities (PM'S) Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years college preferred 5 years minimum experience in automated inventory management role 2-3 years minimum experience with SAP or compatible accounting systems Demonstrated high-skill level and ability to manage and retrieve all required data from CMMS and SAP Possesses high trust and confidentiality associated with sensitive financial information Ability to work closely on daily basis with managers from all departments Efficiency minded, well organized and disciplined Analytical in identifying opportunities and solutions Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word software applications Proficient at working with information databases and computer file storage and retrieval Exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to compose and transmit business letters Must be self motivated and be able to excel with little supervision Preferred: 2 or more years college with available transcripts 2 or more years experience in paper, printing and manufacturing environments Specific knowledge of plant equipment and processes Pactiv Evergreen Inc.
