GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: Works in a team environment to efficiently promote a positive experience in all aspects of patient care with compassion and kindness. Works in collaboration with Podiatry providers to develop and adapt individualized treatment plans to provide quality foot care services. Conduct assessments and screenings and provides education and health promotion to patients regarding advanced foot care, footwear, and general health maintenance of feet. Schedule: Will rotate between Caldwell, and Ontario Clinic locations as needed. Clinics are open M-F, 8-5. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : + Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date. Those colleagues hired before January 1, 2020, must provide licensure in their secondary state within six months of January 1, 2020. Individuals hired in this role after January 1, 2020, must provide licensure in their secondary state within six months of hire. Colleague will ensure he/she does not perform nursing care in the secondary state until the secondary licensure is received and properly documented by SAHS Human Resources Department. + Certification as a WOCN or CFCS (certified foot care specialist) (BSN required) required or eligible for certification within six months of hire. + If not certified, colleague will have 24 CE/CME credits (contact hours) specific to foot care and have 40 clinical hours under the direct supervision of a wound care expert in foot care may include a WOCN, WOC-AP, DPM or an MD. + Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk. + Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
