Summary:We are seeking a Pump Assembly Technician II to prepare and document pump assemblies. This role also involves disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling pumps during repair processes. The Technician will perform a variety of equipment and tool assemblies and meet testing requirements. The individual must have access to modern materials and tools to ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customers.Requirements:3 years of experience in assembling rotating, aeronautical, hydraulic, or automotive equipmentBasic computer skills to use data entry systems and Microsoft OfficeWillingness to work overtime and weekends as requiredTeam player with a focus on continuous improvementAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsResponsibilities:Complete pump assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing tests as neededOperate precise measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial indicators, as well as manual tools like hydraulic torque wrenches and spark wrenchesDemonstrate advanced knowledge of inspection equipment to ensure all parts and assemblies meet specificationsClean all parts and components before assembly and ensure assemblies are completed according to proceduresAdhere to all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve assembly issuesDemonstrate attention to detail and results-oriented approachAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations and read technical drawingsParticipate in Continuous Improvement Process and comply with all Flowserve policies and proceduresWrite routine reports and communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and customersHave a customer service mindset for on-time delivery and high-quality craftsmanshipPerform other duties as necessaryPreferred Experience/Skills:High school diploma or equivalentWorkshop experienceKnowledge of control automation and electrical componentsExperience as a mechanic for rotating machinery or general mechanical equipmentVocational schooling or trainingFlowserve offers competitive salary, annual bonuses, medical benefits from day one, generous vacation time, paid holidays, and 401(k), among other benefits!
