Description:Our client has an immediate need for a
Category Manager II,
whowill be responsible for developing and executing category plans for the strategic sourcing of various spend categories, from Direct (including Power Equipment) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) to Information Technology, Shared Services, Engineering, and Construction.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance or relevant disciplineTwo (2+) or more years of experience in sourcing various Corporate Services.Responsibilities:Creates, implements, and manages multi-year category sourcing strategies for assigned categories to generate value for the company.Leads cross-functional strategic sourcing teams that include representation from the end user communityAnalyze spend data and identify opportunities to increase spending opportunities with diverse suppliers (including local and regional)Partners with internal stakeholders to understand current and future business needs, as well as external resource requirements, in order to create and execute project pipelineInfluences key internal stakeholders to engage sourcing as a key partner in order to drive cost out of their 3rd party suppliersDrives a measurable reduction in year-over-year total cost of ownership for assigned categoriesManages supplier qualification, RFP, supplier selection, contract development, implementation, purchase or blanket orders, compliance, and ongoing supply management processesConducts regular reviews of supplier scorecards and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement of suppliersLeverages e-sourcing and spend analysis tools to drive incremental year-over-year cost savingsProvides external industry benchmarking to better assess strategy and solutions within procurementDrives process improvements to create efficiencies in sourcing proceduresPreferred:Knowledge of contract terms and conditionsExceptional ability to engage cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processMust be able to navigate a complex organizational structure to solve problemsAdvanced contract negotiation skillsDemonstrated experience with successfully developing and executing multi-year sourcing category strategiesStrong knowledge of the strategic sourcing process and practical application of the process to sourcing projectsStrong influencing, project management, and change management skillsExcellent teamwork skills Must be able to work within all functions and levels of an organizationExperience in increasing supplier diversity spend ERP system experienceMaximo experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with the Power Advocate Energy Intelligence Platform a plus or web-based tools, such as e-Sourcing, Spend Analytics, Contract ManagementWhy Work for ConsultUSA:ConsultUSA offers competitive salaries, major medical (PPO or HDHP w/ HSA), dental, and vision insurance plans, and 401k plan with immediate eligibility for both salary and hourly employeesConsultUSA hosts several outings and events, holiday and summer parties, and volunteer opportunities throughout the year for employeesWe will work with you to obtain training for in-demand technologies and prepare you for industry-recognized certification examsConsultUSA offers Business Analysis and Project Management training through our Project Management Institute (PMI)® award-winning sister company, PMCentersUSAHow to Apply:To submit your application, please click the
