We are seeking a
Respiratory Therapist (Nights),
internally referred to as our Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at Saint John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare in Leavenworth, KS. The Respiratory Therapist carries out respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as directed by the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, based on physician orders. They focus on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care while considering the specific needs of patients based on age and population.Shift's Available:
Nights
($3 to $5 per hour diff in pay)Employment Type:

**If you are a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) you are encouraged to apply for this position!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):will provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easily
conduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patientsset up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life-supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independentlymay be part of a rapid response team in emergencies, which you will provide airway management, perform intubations, and resuscitate patients in critical situationsassess patients' respiratory status, monitor their progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as neededensure that all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent infections and ensure patient safety
Qualifications
Education and Work ExperienceState Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License requiredCurrent BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current2 years? experience as a RCP preferredACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain currentNRP certificate preferredPALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain currentAssociate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required.
